New Disposal Policy & Necropsy fees effective 11/1/19
The WSU College of Veterinary Medicine and WADDL have historically provided disposal services at no charge to our clients, but we are no longer able to subsidize biomedical disposal due to new regulations and increasing expenses for disposal services. To address these new realities, the Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory is announcing the following changes effective November 1, 2019:
For all necropsy submissions:
- WADDL will be increasing necropsy fees in order to cover the increasing disposal costs.
- Private Cremation: WADDL continues to facilitate private fee-for-service cremation of animals submitted for necropsy with appropriate forms. The Animal Clinic & Hospital of Moscow, Idaho, will continue to charge the submitter directly for cremation.
- WADDL does not accept submissions for disposal or cremation only.

Thank you for your patronage. We look forward to providing continued quality diagnostic services for the Pacific Northwest. If you have questions, please contact Dr. Danielle Nelson, Necropsy Section Head, at 509-335-9696.
